Master Colorists Plein-Air Impressionists Camille Przewodek, Rob Longley and¬†John Ebersberger introduced Kenyon to Monet’s impressionist tradition of seeing and painting color with the influence of light.

They studied under Master Impressionist Henry Hensche (1901-1992) who assisted Charles Hawthorne (1872-1903) at the Cape Cod School of Art in Provincetown.

This forever changed Kenyon into studying painting in natural sunlight to capture effects of what is called “The Light Key” on the subject matter.

One of Henry Hensche’s Light Key teaching methods is to have students paint colored blocks under different outdoor light effects, ranging from sunlight to cloudy¬†days.
